Build a Garden Tower Plants and Harvests
The roster is crops, not characters — here is how to read it.
Build a Garden Tower has no hero roster. The “players” in this tycoon are the plants you hire to print fruit. This hub is the database view: what you buy in the first hour, what you hunt later, and how crates fit. For ranking, stay on the tier list. For the hunt, stay on rare plants.
How to read a plant in-game
Every crop should answer four questions before it takes a plot:
- Cost versus your cash pile.
- Tooltip income versus the plant you would replace.
- Footprint — does it block a collect path?
- Source — shop, crate, or forage? Sources that are hard to repeat deserve a plot only if the tooltip wins.
If you cannot see a tooltip, the how to play HUD tour shows where shop rows live on PC and mobile.
Starter row
Hour one is compact fruit trees and dense trays. Official $1/s art is a packed low greenhouse, not a pagoda. Open starter plants for the buy order. That page is intentionally short on lore and long on “fill the glass.”
Rare row
Forage, crates, and flashy restocks. Keep one or two per floor. The rest is showcase. Update 6’s cherry blossoms, torii, tulips, and pond pieces are the current visual language — they are not automatically the current income language.
Crates and storage
“Max out your crates” is official copy. Maxing is a production goal, not a command to open twenty boxes into a full bar. The dedicated pipeline is crates and storage. Pair crate opening with the game pass catalog if you overflow every session.
Other players (the human kind)
Servers hold six people. You can visit their towers. You cannot steal their harvest. There is no trading plaza documented on the game page. If someone offers a “rare plant trade” in chat, assume a scam until Evil Penguinz ships an official trade UI — it is not in the current description.
The developer group is Evil Penguinz, owned by Vintage_Jr. That is the roster of humans that matters: the people who ship numbered updates. Follow them from the links hub.
Suggested reading order
- Starter plants — fill floor one.
- Getting Started — if you have not bought a floor.
- Game passes — the four store unlocks with live Robux prices.
- Plant rankings — income versus showcase.
- Rare plants and foraging — hunt rules.
- Update 6 — current theme filter.
When a restock names a crop we can screenshot consistently, this hub will grow a named child page. Until then, families plus tooltips are the honest database.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Are there characters to unlock?
No. The roster is plants. You buy, forage, or crate them onto greenhouse plots.
Can I trade plants with friends?
No official trade system is listed. Six-player servers are for visiting, not swapping crops.
Where do I see plant stats?
In the shop tooltip and on your HUD cash-per-second after a test plot. This wiki does not invent a stat table.
Who made the game?
Evil Penguinz, a verified Roblox group owned by Vintage_Jr. Links live on the community page.
